QFloors Barcode Equipment

Included with your QFloors product is the ability to interface with barcoding equipment.  Barcoding features can help you
  • Populate sales orders with materials at the point of sale (POS)

  • Receive and track inventory

  • Count and reconcile physical inventory

These features can reduce mistakes which in turn saves time and money.  The barcoding equipment you select depends on your business practices and the barcoding features that you plan on implementing.  One company may use just a single $80 scanner for point of sale, while other operations could spend thousands of dollars on additional equipment.  A list of possible equipment that could be used for these operations include:

  1. Point of Sale Scanners

  2. Inventory Tracking Scanners

  3. Inventory Reconcile Storage Scanners

  4. Long Distance Barcode Labels (Retro-Reflective Vinyl) could increase distance by 3 times.

  5. 4” Label Printers

  6. Fork Lift Connection Strategies (connecting equipment to a fork lift like an iPad)

Below is a list of equipment that we have tested, but it is possible that you will need additional help in creating a custom solution.  One option in getting additional help with planning your solutions is to talk with a specialist such as Barcodes, Inc. Below is a contact with whom we have been working at Barcodes, Inc.  This person is aware of the QFloors software solution.

Point of Sale / Inventory Tracking Scanners

There are hundreds of different scanner options that vary in price from $50 to $2,000.  Some of the less expensive models should work for point of sale applications but you may consider a more expensive/durable model for use in your warehouse.  Factors that seem to influence the price most dramatically include:

  1. Wireless vs. wired

  2. Scan Distance (Distance from scanner to barcode).  This depends on size of barcode and label type (paper).

  3. Durability (# of times you can drop scanner from a certain height, waterproof)

We have tested 3 different models:

Inateck BCST -10

  • Aproximately $80

  • Bluetooth

  • Scan Distance – up to18” (regular paper)

  • Durability – minimal

Adesso Nu-Scan 4100B

  • Scan Distance – up to 5 feet (regular paper)

  • Durability – Good, Waterproof

Zebra LI3678-SR3U42A0S1W

Inventory Reconciliation Scanners

These scanners are specialized and programmed to interface directly with QFloors.  Because of the programming aspect, you must purchase these scanners directly from QFloors.  Contact QFloors Sales for more information.

CipherLab 8000 Mobile Computer - $625.00

4” Label Printers

There are many options for label printers.  You need to make sure that whatever you select has a Windows 10 printer driver.  Additionally, we have only found one that works with QCloud, so if you are a QCloud user, you will want to consider the Zebra GC420d label printer.
